Heyla!

This weekend, I’m heading down to Busan for no other reason than I need to get out of Seoul for a while.  I’m taking the high speed train.

It is 99% certain that I will be in Cambodia in about 15 days.  I’ll stay for a week and then come back to work.  I’m going with my friend Corinne and I’m looking forward to wandering around a new country, taking photos, and relaxing.

It is 97% certain that I will be moving closer to my school.  The student’s summer break is coming up.  Since they will be out of school, they will come to academy even more.  Six days of a week of possibly working 14 hour days.  But there will only be four weeks of that, so it’ll all work out.

I’m craving education.  I’m anxious to get back into school.  I’ll have one year of undergrad before I go into an accelerated nursing program (if anyone has any information concerning the rankings of accelerated nursing programs, I’d appreciate it).  There’s a lot of programs  that offer an RN to people who already have another degree and finished the basic requirements. After that, I’m going to attend graduate school to get a Master’s in some sort of public health (possibly international).  So I need to figure out where I’m going to go to graduate school and choose my nursing program from there.  I’d like to work part-time throughout graduate school.  All of this should take about four years.

I’m also planning on taking some language courses.  Most likely Spanish.

In the meantime, I’m still going to go to Thailand for a year to get my CELTA.  I’ll still teach for about 6 months after I return to Korea in 2009.  And while I’m doing my undergrad, I’d like to work on campus as an ESL instructor.  Once I finish in Korea in 2009, I’m planning on taking a month off and traveling.  I’m tempted to take the trans Siberian railway, but I’d like to  start in South East Asian, go through India, possibly visit Turkey before flying home from Europe.

In other news, the exercise program is going well.  I’m 4kg lighter (8.8lbs) than I was a month and a half ago.  Still working on it.  With all that’s going on recently, I’m slacked on the gym.  But I was going six days a week.  I’m aiming for that again.  The past two Sundays, I’ve met up with some coworkers in a park and played soccer.  Nothing serious, but I’m still sore the next day.  It’s good for me.  Also, I’m working on yoga again.  I still have a long ways to go, but I managed to get myself into an Elbow Stand this week.

I’m eating better.  I tried binge on some Raisenettes the other day.  It didn’t work.  They just didn’t taste good after a while.

Well, I need to wander off and get some work done.

P.S. Another mass exodus of friends will begin in July.  It will suck.  I am sad.  The first one will leave on July 3rd.

A Very Wonderful Sunday

After an absolutely crap Saturday, I had one of the most amazing Sundays.  Ever.

A coworker and I met for lunch and did a bit of shopping.  In the afternoon, I met up with more coworkers and we had a picnic in a park.  The weather was as close to perfect as I feel comfortable hoping for and I couldn’t have had a nicer time.

One of the parts that I enjoyed the most was taking my shoes off and kicking around a soccer ball.  It felt nice to be barefoot.  We played and laughed and frolicked.  General silliness ensued.

I’m going to try to get pictures from someone who had a camera.  Anyways, gym in the morning so bed now.
