Honestly, now.

It was a bizarre day at work today.  While delighting in my task of grading essays, I starting talking with some of my coworkers.  At one point, I mentioned my last name.  Rachel (from Florida) looked up.

“What did you say your name was?”

I repeated myself.  She said that she knew of someone with that last name.  I asked who (because I probably know them).  Turns out, Rachel’s older sister did NOT get along with Lori, my cousin.  In fact, Rachel spent part of her childhood in Mission, SD.  We continued to see if we had anything else in common.  Turns out, we do.

My first cousin (Anita) was married to Rachel’s first cousin (George).    George has been to my house.  Rachel spent a Christmas with Anita.

And Rachel and I meet in Korea.   Seven thousand miles away.

Weird.
