Honestly, now.

So after a busy afternoon of catching up with Mary, getting visas for China squared away, and sight-seeing, it was time to go home.  I hopped on a bus (I avoid the subways when I’m traveling alone) and away I went.  Problem was, I fell asleep.  (Buses put me to sleep almost as well as trains.)

I was woken up by the bus driver.  It wasn’t the last stop.   No such luck.  It was the bus yard.  Nice.  Way to go, Anne.

The driver was really nice.  I told him where I was supposed to go and he put me on another bus.  To make a long and boring part of the story short, I ended up very, very, very far away from home.  Granted, I could have stayed on the bus and eventually gotten to where I was going, but that would have taken a few hours.  I was tired and just wanted to get home.  I hopped off the bus.  (The bus driver tried to get me to stay on, but I told him it was okay and he let me off.)  At this point, I’m exhausted and it’s dark.   So I decided to eat the cost and take a cab.  Except my cab driver didn’t know where Migeum was.  It took him two phone calls and carefully watching his navigation system, but he figured it out.  He was pretty sheepish about it.

I made it home okay.  Thirty dollars poorer, but okay.

But from now on, I’m having coffee before I get on the bus.
