Honestly, now.

There’s only about a dozen little things I know I’ll forget

Yeesh.  So while cleaning, I dicovered fourty Euros that I had left over from my trip to France.  Great, I thought, more money.  So I called my bank today to discover that…..yeah….the little hometown bank doesn’t convert.  Go figure.  Not terribly surprising.  But annoying nonetheless.

On the upside of the day, I’m getting much better about making lists.  Which is the reason that I’ll only forget one dozen things instead of several dozen.

I keep having odd moments where I’m COMPLETELY forgetting that I’m moving to Korea this week.

Example:  “Oh, I should go grab a coffee with Sarah this weekend.  No, wait, can’t do that.”

It’s odd.  It’s unnerving.  Mostly, it just makes me feel like an idiot.  It is all pretty unreal.  But, just when I think I’m going to chicken out, I think of going back to Wal-Mart and playing nice.  Playing nice to customers who seem to take joy in talking down to me, and worse, playing nice with those fellow associates who seem down right intent on branding a scarlet “A” on my forehead.  And strangely enough, it’s not dealing with them that makes me so tired of the place.  It’s biting back my retorts that, although they might get me fired, would be oh-so-rewarding to say.  I’m tired of a bleeding tongue.

Suddenly, Korea doesn’t seem so bad.  Heck, it’s downright inviting.

Well, I’d better finish this up. I’m staying at my parent’s house right now.  I just ran into town to pick up a few things (and have access to a computer with decent internet).  While I’m looking forward to Wednesday, I’m dreading tomorrow.  I’m horrid at goodbyes and I have a feeling driving away from my parents’ house just may be the hardest part of this trip.  Although we’ve had differences in opinion about this experi

Mmmm….I think I”m gonna go with sleeping the night previous to getting on the plane as the hardest part.

Could just be me, though. Let me know.

Good luck with it all…you’re gonna have a great time.
